Neuroscience Center

In SSMH neuroscience center, experts from multidisciplinary specialists such as Neurosurgery, Neurology,
Psychiatry, Anesthesiology, Radiology, Medical rehabilitation, and Anatomy work together to provide
diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients with neurological disorders.

NC SSMH currently led by Prof. DR. Dr. Satyanegara, Sp.BS is designed to
provide the best and Integrated Services. Cases that can be handled in NC SSMH, such as :

 1. Brain and Spinal Cord Trauma
 2. Tumors of Brain and Spinal cord
 3. Brain Tumor and Medula Spinalis
 4. Congenital Abnormalities such as, Hydrocephalus, Meningocele, Meningoencephalo c ele
 5. Cerebrovascular Disorders such as, Arterio Venous Malformation.
 6. Spine Disorder such as, Skoliosis, Canal Stenosis, etc.
 7. Degenerative Disorder such as Parkinson, Essensial Tremor.

NC SSMH is supported by modern and latest facilities :

A. Multi slice CT Scanning (MSCT), 128 slices, MRI 1,5 Tesla This tool can also detect pressure in spinal cord
that causes pain (narrowing, blockage of the blood vessels of the brain, and other brain disorders) In addition,
this tool can also determine whether mites/pressure on the spinal cord (spine) which causes pain
B.  Cavitron Ultrasonic Surgical Aspirator (CUSA). CUSA is one of the latest methods in the removal of brain tumors.
This tool is used to reduce and destroy tumors with ultrasonic vibration
C.  Intra Operative Neurophysiology Monitor (IOM), to Monitor neurological function during surgery.
D.  Neurosurgical microscope of a very good resolution, to monitor and check the brain condition , especially during
surgery in order to obtain maximum results and reduces the risk of complications.
E.  Endoscopy for Neurosurgery to reduce incision size and to perform treatment in areas otherwise difficult to
      reach in open brain surgery.
F.  Electro Electroencephalography (EEG) In SSMH neuroscience center, experts from multidisciplinary specialists
such as Neurosurgery, Neurology, Psychiatry, Anesthesiology, Radiology, Medical rehabilitation, and Anatomy
work together to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients with neurological disorders.
